Fun Destinations Within an Hour or Two of Bay City

Dow Gardens – 

Just down the road in Midland, the Dow Gardens is a breathtaking array of flowers and other forms of nature that extend across a wide area. Perfect for a family walk during a warm day, we highly recommend coming here at least once if you have never been. You’ll appreciate all the beautiful scenery and the canopy walk located in the forest area of the park. 

Bronner’s / Frankenmuth –

Even if it’s not Christmas, Bronner’s allows everyone in the family to enjoy the warm feeling that the season brings anytime in the year. This vast store is a Central Michigan mainstay and brings people from all over the country to Frankenmuth. After you’ve spent plenty of time seeing everything there is to see in the store, visit the Bavarian Inn for a delicious meal. This is a great trip to take if you’re looking for a full day away with the family. 

Soaring Eagle –

Part casino, part entertainment venue, Soaring Eagle in Mt. Pleasant is our choice as a closeby destination for a date night away from the kids. Enjoy high-end dining, see one of the many shows they have scheduled throughout the year, and spend quality time together. If you are looking for something to do with the kids, there is also the Soaring Eagle Waterpark & Hotel down the road from the casino where you and your children can have a day full of fun just a short drive from Bay City!
