Part of the exceptional capability of the Atlas comes from dependable performance provided by two engine options.  The 2.0L turbocharged and intercooled engine provides a respectable 235 horsepower while still offering an estimated 21 mpg city and 24 mpg highway.  Choose the 3.6L V6 for a bump up to an impressive 276 horsepower.  Either way, you will appreciate the efficient 8-speed automatic transmission with Sport mode and Tiptronic®.  With Tiptronic®, you can shift manually when you want to be in control of shifting.  Some trim levels are equipped with the 4MOTION® with Active Control all-wheel drive (AWD) system.  The system allows you to choose from four available AWD modes to customize your drive.  Available modes are On-Road, Off-Road, Off-Road Custom, and Snow.
