The microbus was a staple member of the Volkswagen lineup back when the original version of the vehicle was available. Now, Volkswagen is bringing back the classic with a futuristic twist thanks to the introduction of the Volkswagen ID.Buzz. Built off the same MEB platform at the exceptional VW ID.4, interested mid-Michigan drivers will find that the ID.Buzz will deliver the excellent everyday cruising experience that fans of the electric SUV are already getting to enjoy.
Volkswagen ID.Buzz Trims
The United States will be receiving the larger of the two ID.Buzz versions that will be available in Europe as its standard edition. This means drivers and their families will get to enjoy an incredibly spacious microbus to ride in. Several iterations of powertrains and available amenities will also be available to further customize the electric bus.

Two Different Versions of the Modular Electric Drive Platform to Choose From
RWD and AWD Versions will be Available
A baseline VW ID.Buzz will be equipped with a single electric motor on the rear axle which provides 282 virtually instantaneous horsepower and functional RWD. There will also be a version of the electric microbus that has another motor on the front axle for a combined 330 horsepower and functional 4Motion® AWD handling. Either version of the ID.Buzz will offer the same excellent silent operation and instant response from the motor(s) whenever the accelerator is pressed down.

The new Volkswagen ID.Buzz will be roughly the same size as the Atlas Cross Sport crossover SUV, making it a spacious family cruiser for the modern Michigan customer and their family. All six or seven occupants of the vehicle will also appreciate the various amenities available to them in this large interior. Among the various options that will be present in the ID.Buzz are front seats equipped with massaging functionality and an adjustable ambient light system to better cater to any passenger’s preferences. The dashboard will feature a large 12.9-inch touchscreen for easy access to the numerous infotainment applications that will be available on the new microbus.
