The SEL and SEL Premium trim levels have standard Volkswagen Digital Cockpit for a configurable instrument display that allows the driver to see what is important to their specific driving situation. The Atlas Cross Sport will also come with Volkswagen Car-Net which has been upgraded for model year 2020. It includes a great list of services available at no-charge for five years. One service, Car-Net Remote Access, provides drivers with the ability to stay connected to their vehicle even from miles away. The mobile app on your mobile phone can allow you to lock and unlock the vehicle, checks the vehicle’s status, and find the last location parked. In addition, if your Atlas Cross Sport is equipped with factory-installed remote start, the app will allow you to remotely start or stop the vehicle too. The available Car-Net Hotspot will allow passengers connectivity to the internet for up to four devices at 4G LTE capability.
The 2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport will also have an available suite of advanced driver-assistance systems. Even the base model will surprise you with its safety features, including standard Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Traffic Alert, and Forward Collision Warning with Autonomous Braking. Other trim levels also add on Adaptive Cruise Control and Park Distance Control standard. There will even be two new driver assistance technologies available. Traffic Jam Assist uses a front camera and radar sensor to maintain a following distance at slow speeds. The system can stop the vehicle if needed due to traffic. The Dynamic Road Sign Display works with the factory-install navigation system to display some road signs that are detected by the front camera or already in the navigation system data.
The Atlas Cross Sport will be available in eight trim levels starting in Spring 2020. Contact Thelen VW in Bay City, MI for more information on this great addition to the Volkswagen line-up!
